IVOH Managing Team: Wendy Bromley Bodden

WENDY BROMLEY BODDEN                Media & Communications Consultant

Wendy Bromley Bodden is a media and communications consultant, strategist and producer, specializing in strategic development and alliances, including funding. She is a veteran marketing and corporate sponsorship executive with over 20 years experience developing and leveraging strategic partnerships, primarily within the public television and IMAX industries, securing over $35 million in her career -- to date. She has forged alliances between Fortune 500 companies and award-winning PBS programs such as Nature, Great Performances, American Masters, and Charlie Rose, and the IMAX film and science education initiative, Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France. Current projects include an IMAX film and multi-media initiative on genetics; a multi-media, ecological oratorio featuring libretto by artist/author Ralph Steadman; and a film-based educational initiative in Africa integrating football, love, and the science of HIV/AIDS, produced by Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership.

Her work - whether in media, arts, public or private sectors - is anchored in a solid grasp of marketplace dynamics and trends, the belief in the power of media and the arts to effect positive change, and the joy of collaboration towards a common goal, a common good. This has led to producing and moderating public engagement and outreach programs that integrate media (especially film and arts) and dialogue to increase awareness, discussion and action.

Wendy received training in organizational change and public dialogue through Weatherhead School of Management's highly regarded Certificate in Appreciative Inquiry program. This strength and values based approach informs all aspects of her practice, along with a commitment to dialogue that embraces whole systems and encourages greater collaboration.

Wendy serves on the Executive Team of Images and Voices of Hope, a global media dialogue and initiative; the Advisory Board of the Ocean Research and Conservation Association; and the Norwalk Arts and Film Commission. She holds a B.S. in English Education and Writing from Ohio State University, and studied for her Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at Ohio State University.
