POLLY KREISMAN EDITRIX and PUBLISHER, theLoop |

Polly Kreisman is a nationally recognized, 15-time New York Emmy award winning Reporter and Producer with major market and network television experience. Polly is an extraordinary communicator who transforms often complicated ideas, events and issues into compelling stories.
Most recently, Polly leveraged her veteran journalism skills into creating theLoop, a hyperlocal on-line news site for Westchester County, New York. In only one year, theLoop grew an audience of 30,000 viewers a month.
Polly's professional experience includes conceiving and executing original network news programming, most recently as Producer/Reporter for NBC News Productions (with investigations airing on MSNBC), and ABC News 20/20 and Good Morning America.
As the investigative reporter at WPIX TV in New York (2000 - 2003), her own weekly TV segment, Polly Wants an Answer, showcased her award winning, non-aggressive confrontational style of consumer advocacy. At WPIX, Polly managed the investigative team while developing, writing and producing investigative and consumer reports, and anchoring taped segments live on set. Previously, Polly served as both an investigative and general assignment reporter at WWOR-TV, New York, where her work was honored with 14 New York Emmy awards in five years. Her original reporting included her innovative and often emulated franchise, Eat, Drink and Be Wary.
Earlier in her career, after gaining diverse television news experience behind the scenes in New York local news at WABC TV and WNEW TV, and at the early start-up of CNN in Atlanta, Polly began her on-camera reporting career in Hartford, Connecticut and Norfolk, Virginia. These assignments led her back to her native Washington, D.C., where she reported from Capitol Hill for over 100 local television stations throughout the United States. Entrepreneurial projects included the creation of a production company in Fremantle, Australia, to cover the America's Cup yacht races for American television client stations, as well as a five-part series on Perestroika shot in the former USSR.
She has been a featured panelist at IRE (Investigative Reporters and Editors) and RTNDA (Radio and Television News Directors) conventions, as well as a talk show guest. Polly earned her B.A. degree at Cornell University and completed two honors courses at the Poynter Institute for Journalism Studies.
All of this was easy compared with running two New York City Marathons. Polly and her husband live in Larchmont, New York with their young twins and a rambunctious oversized poodle.
